Trim Levels of the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Spacious, stylish, and off-road-ready, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is here to cater to your inner adventurer. And because all great adventures deserve a trusty companion, you’ll find a lineup of trims ready to play the part.
Trim Levels of the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee
1. Laredo A
The 2024 Grand Cherokee lineup starts with the Laredo A, a lean and mean machine built to handle your daily commutes and weekend escapes. Its list of features includes three foldable seats in the back, a powerful 293-horsepower V6 engine, comfortable cloth seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, dual-zone AC, and enough trunk space to pack your kitchen when you go on road trips.
2. Laredo
The Laredo gives you the chance to pick and choose some of the creature comforts normally found in higher trim levels, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and a remote start system, just to mention a few.
3. Laredo X
The Laredo X is pretty much the same as the previous trim, but now it comes with a power sunroof to let in a bit more of the sky.
4. Altitude
You don’t have to fuss around with options if you select the very sleek-looking Altitude model. It standardizes nearly all the available creature comforts of the Laredo, like the heated seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and more. But it does not just stop there; it adds roof rails, a power liftgate, scratch-resistant leatherette/suede seats, and blacked-out trims and wheels.
5. Altitude X
Love what the Altitude brings to the table but want a little more air and sunshine? The Altitude X has you covered with one extra addition: a power sunroof that’s activated by switches in the overhead console.
6. Limited
The next trim, the Limited, is an upgrade in every sense of the word. It’s got heated second-row seats, a larger display screen, premium speakers, memory settings for the driver’s seat and outside mirrors, an optional 360-view camera, and available cooled front seats.
7. Overland
The Overland comes well-equipped with gadgets and tech that make life beyond the pavement a lot easier. There’s rough road cruise control, all-season tires, beefed-up axles, hill descent control, heavy-duty engine cooling, and air suspension that adapts to different terrains. Creature comforts in this trim level include leather seats, a kick-activated liftgate, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an available head-up display.
8. Summit
The Summit is all about next-level luxury. It comes with massaging seats, passenger seat memory, a wood/leather-wrapped steering wheel, an off-road camera, and a standard 360-view camera.
9. Summit Reserve
The top dog of the lineup is the Summit Reserve, which builds on the Summit and adds upgraded leather upholstery, cooled rear seats, an interactive display for the front passenger, and a 19-speaker high-performance audio system.

6 Signs of a Faulty Ignition Coil

A sudden drop in engine power might point to a faulty ignition coil. The coils allocated to each cylinder of your car’s engine generate powerful electrical voltage, allowing the spark plugs to ignite the fuel. If one or more coils stop working, cylinders will stop firing, you’ll find it hard to accelerate and experience various other problems. Look out for the following symptoms and head to your local CDJR dealer to have your bad coils promptly replaced.
6 Signs of a Faulty Ignition Coil
Your Engine Sputters and Shakes
Each coil takes the meager 12 volts from the car battery and transforms it into massive 25,000-volt charges for the spark plugs. If one of your coils breaks down, the corresponding spark plug will misfire. This makes the engine sputter, cough, shudder, and generally show signs of struggling.
Your Car Idles Roughly
Idling at traffic lights puts the engine under more strain than when the vehicle is in motion. For this reason, misfiring often becomes first apparent when idling. Rather than purring softly, your car will shake, become noisy, and might even stall.
Your Car Stalls and Struggles To Start
A misfiring engine with a faulty coil can suddenly cut off at inopportune moments. When this happens, the weakened engine might then struggle to restart. With one or more malfunctioning coils, your car will take longer to start from cold in the mornings as well.
You Can’t Accelerate Properly
The ordinarily punchy acceleration you enjoy will be lost with a bad coil. When you step on the gas pedal, your car will be slow to accelerate; it will struggle to reach and maintain top speeds on the highway.
You See Black Smoke Behind You
Misfiring spark plugs fail to properly burn through all the fuel being injected into the combustion chambers. This unburned fuel can then seep back into the exhaust pipes where it can damage the catalytic converter and pour from the tailpipe in the form of black smoke.
Your Fuel Costs Shoot Up
The fuel inefficiencies that arise with a faulty coil mean your monthly cost of gas will rapidly rise. You’ll notice you can no longer travel quite as many miles for each full tank of gas.
Your CDJR Dealer Finds a Misbehaving Coil
During your regular vehicle inspections, our technicians will quickly identify and repair any coil-related problems. Any such engine trouble usually causes the check engine light to appear on the dashboard, but you might not know specifically what’s wrong. If you see this light, pay us a visit and we’ll diagnose whether a faulty coil or something else is the blame.
Visit Murray Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Starke in Starke, FL, to have your coils inspected and replaced. We offer world-class customer care to everyone who steps foot through our doors.
5 Reasons to Test Drive the 2024 RAM 1500

Tackling work and play with strong performance and available off-road capabilities, the 2024 RAM 1500 is a reliable full-size truck that seats up to six in its comfortable cabin.
5 Reasons to Test Drive the 2024 RAM 1500
1. Three Stunning Engines
This edition offers three powerful engines: a 3.6-liter V6, a 5.7-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. The 305-horsepower V6 is perfect for work, as it provides a best-in-class maximum payload capacity of 2,300 pounds. The smaller V8 takes output to the next level with 395 horses and pulls up to 12,750 pounds, also the best in its class for towing. The larger V8 churns out 702 horsepower, pushing the truck from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds.
2. A Multifunction Tailgate
While the base model comes standard with a dampened tailgate that drops down in conventional fashion, there’s also an available multifunction tailgate that comes with two 80-degree swingout doors. This allows you to get much closer to the bed, though you can still drop the tailgate in the conventional way as well. Coming with the multifunction tailgate is the convenient Trailer Hitch Light to simplify trailer and camper hook-ups.
3. Tough Off-Road Capabilities
This pickup also plays hard with its many available features for off-roading, including an advanced 4×4 system that comes with a part-time transfer case, allowing you to turn the system on and off as needed. While this system easily conquers some of the most demanding terrains, you can enhance the truck’s versatility even more with front and rear heavy-duty shock absorbers for smoother rides, the Four-Corner Air Suspension System for increased ground clearance, and an electronic-locking rear axle for maximum traction.
4. Sophisticated Technology
Along with a suite of high-tech driver-assist features, this pickup offers plenty of in-cabin technology to entertain and make drives more relaxing, including the standard Uconnect infotainment system. While you’re using this system to listen to streaming audio, make hands-free calls, or reply to texts using your voice, the available windshield head-up display and 12-inch driver information cluster give you two ways to view key information while driving. A Wi-Fi hotspot and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system are also available.
5. First-Class Seating Options
Convenience and comfort can be found in this edition’s many seating configurations and options, like the standard split-bench seat up front, the folding one in the rear, and multiple seating fabric options ranging from deluxe cloth to leather trim. In select trims, power lumbar support and both ventilation and heating are available for the front seats, while the rear seats also offer available heating.
While all the features covered here are impressive, they only skim the surface of everything this stylish pickup has to offer, so contact us today at Murray Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Starke in Starke, FL to schedule a test drive.

The key to keeping your vehicle in great shape and spending many happy years in its driver’s seat is regular servicing and maintenance. As your CDJR dealer, we want to tell you about some examples of the types of CDJR maintenance we provide.
Examples of CDJR Maintenance Available at Your CDJR Dealer
Coolant Replacement
Coolant is a mixture of water and antifreeze and is used to control your engine temperature. Combustion and the movement of countless engine components generate heat, and excessive heat retention can quickly damage vital engine components like seals and gaskets. Coolant is pumped through the engine and absorbs heat as it moves. The heat is then transported to the radiator for removal by heat exchange.
Like all other vehicle fluids, coolant becomes less effective as it ages. It moves more slowly, reducing its ability to remove heat. In addition, older coolant becomes corrosive and can damage your engine. If your engine temperature rises for no obvious reason, your coolant may need replacement. Our technicians will test the coolant and drain and replace it if needed.
Tire Pressure Checks
Maintaining the correct tire pressure allows your tires to work more effectively to provide the necessary traction when driving and decrease stopping distance when you hit the brakes. Tire pressure changes naturally, as it increases or decreases by 1 to 2 PSI per month as the tire’s internal pressure tries to equalize with the external pressure.
Over or underinflated tires suffer more wear damage than correctly pressurized tires, and this means they will need replacement sooner than otherwise necessary. They are also more prone to leaks or blowouts. We can easily check your tire pressure and correct it if necessary. Our technicians will also examine the tires for wear damage and advise you if they need replacement.
Battery Testing
The battery is one of the most essential components in your vehicle, as it supplies the initial electrical charge that powers the crank that starts your engine. Despite its importance, the battery is also one of the shortest-lived components, as it has an average life of only three to five years before it needs replacement.
A battery gradually loses power naturally as the chemicals inside it that enable it to store and supply power break down. We advise a battery test when your battery is three years old, roughly the midpoint of its life. We’ll connect your battery to our computerized battery tester, and this machine can determine if your battery is still healthy. If your battery is healthy, we’ll retest it in a year. If it’s failing, we can install a new one to prevent future battery-related issues like starting difficulties.

Off-Road Mastery: Inside the 2024 Jeep Wrangler

Since its release, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler has been a much talked about SUV among adventurous types and outdoor enthusiasts, and for good reason. It provides unparalleled versatility in off-road surroundings.
Off-Road Mastery: Inside the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
Muscular Engine Performance
Among this edition’s four engine options, you have two 2.0-liter I4 engines, a 3.6-liter V6, and a 6.4-liter V8. The most horsepower in the group is offered by a 6.4-liter V8, which delivers 470 horses alongside 470 pound-feet of torque, allowing the vehicle to go from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds.
Now if you’re looking for the strongest towing, both the first I4 engine, a 270-horsepower gas-powered one, and the 285-horsepower V6 are capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds. However, the second I4, a hybrid variant, delivers the best fuel efficiency by getting up to 49 MPGe or 370 miles in total estimated driving range.
Ruggedness Meets Versatility
Every 2024 Wrangler comes standard with an advanced 4×4 system called Command-Trac, though there’s also Rock-Trac, another system that’s available if you need greater traction for going over rocky surfaces. Skid plates and tow hooks also come standard, while steel bumpers, rock rails, and heavy-duty shocks are offered as options for select models.
For improved articulation, there’s also an available electronic front sway bar disconnect, as well as mud-terrain tires, a strong Warn winch, and Tru-Lok electronic-locking differentials for stronger grip. Some of the more rugged Wrangler models, like Willys and Rubicon, come with the Off-Road Plus Button, which lets you optimize the vehicle for tough terrains with the push of a button.
Cabin Luxuries and Technology
This edition’s interior comes with standard air conditioning, premium cloth upholstery throughout, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. Upper trims come with heated front seats in McKinley leather trim or Nappa leather, with 8-way power-adjustability for the driver’s seat, as well as a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel. A storage compartment and cargo tie-down loops can be found behind the rear seat for convenience, and a rear window defroster is available should you need it.
Plenty of advanced tech also graces this SUV’s cabin, like the innovative Uconnect infotainment system, which comes with voice-control technology and a large 12-inch full-color touchscreen. The available 9-speaker Alpine audio system includes a subwoofer and goes great with the optional HD Radio and SiriusXM Radio access, while the available GPS navigation feature provides audible instructions and maps. A Wi-Fi hotspot is also available, as are auxiliary switches for integrating third-party gear with the vehicle.

5 Safety Features of the 2024 Jeep Gladiator

Your 2024 Jeep Gladiator is tough and rugged, built to face any off-road terrain and conquer the great outdoors. It also has an excellent range of safety features that keep you and your passengers safe on the road while heading off to adventure. We want to tell you about some of these standard and available features and how they protect you.
5 Safety Features of the 2024 Jeep Gladiator
Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking
Standard on most models and available on the Sport, this system uses radar and a camera to detect any vehicle in front of you. If a vehicle is present, the system calculates the distance between your Jeep and the other vehicle to determine if there’s a collision risk. If a collision is likely, you’ll hear warning sounds and a warning illuminates on your screen. This allows you to intervene to prevent an accident.
If you can’t react swiftly enough, the system automatically applies hard braking to prevent an accident.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Full Stop
Available on the Sport and standard on all other models, this feature allows you to preset a driving speed and following distance. Cruise control will maintain these settings until you intervene. If the distance closes between you and another vehicle, the system will reduce your speed until the distance increases again.
If the vehicle in front of you slows down or stops, the system will apply the brakes and bring you to an instant stop if necessary.
Blind Spot Monitoring
Available for all models, this system uses sensors located on the sides and rear to monitor your blind spots. If you’re about to move into another lane and the system detects a vehicle in your blind spot, a warning icon appears on your screen, and an audible alarm sounds. These warnings enable you to react in time to prevent an accident.
Rear Cross Path Detection
This system is available for all models and activates when you shift into reverse. Sensors will detect any vehicle or object that will cross your rear. You’ll hear chimes and an icon appears to warn you of danger so you can brake or take evasive action.
ParkSense Rear Park Assist System
Most drivers hate parallel parking, but this system takes all the stress out of the process. When you reverse, the ParkView Back-Up Camera shows a digital view of the area directly behind you. Guidelines appear on the screen to direct you to the parking.
Rear-facing sonar is also active and sounds an alert if you get too close to any vehicle or obstruction, enabling you to correct your maneuvering.
If you’d like to know more about any of these safety features, contact us today at Murray CDJR of Starke in Starke, FL.
3 Signs Your CDJR Vehicle Needs a Brake Repair

Brake components become worn or damaged over time, and worn brakes can easily cause an accident. As your CDJR dealer, we’d like you to know a few signs your brakes are in trouble, and you need to visit us for a brake repair.
3 Signs You Need a Brake Repair at Your CDJR Dealer
Pulling to One Side
When you brake, the calipers clamp against the rotors and generate friction that brings them to a stop. All four calipers engage simultaneously to ensure your vehicle stops as smoothly and quickly as possible. If you brake and your vehicle pulls to one side until it stops, there’s a problem, as one of the calipers isn’t correctly engaging.
The calipers are positioned above the wheels, exposing them to water, mud, and snow. These liquids can build up on a caliper and cause rust. A rusted caliper will close more slowly or not close at all. A second potential cause of the problem is a blockage in the brake hose leading to the affected caliper. Our technicians will examine the caliper and repair or replace it.
Screeching and Grinding
The brake pads fit into the calipers, and have a rough material covering that generates the friction that stops the wheels. The material covering wears down over time, making braking slower and less responsive. When a pad needs replacement, a metal spike buried inside the material will scratch the rotor, producing a screeching noise.
Grinding sounds are more serious. If a pad isn’t replaced when it’s worn, the material will eventually wear off completely. When this happens, the rough metal of the pad will directly clamp against the rotor when you hit the brakes. The pad will produce a grinding noise as it scours the rotor surface, and this can cause serious damage if the pad isn’t replaced ASAP.
Brake Fluid Leak
Brake fluid is highly pressurized, and it provides the hydraulic power that forces the calipers against the rotors. The combination of heat and pressure from braking can eventually cause a leak. As brake fluid leaks, the pressure in the braking system will drop, and our brakes will become less responsive. You’ll feel the lack of system pressure as pushing down on the pedal produces less resistance than it should.
You can’t usually spot a leak, as the fluid can be difficult to see as it’s thin and yellow. If your brake pedal is less responsive, we advise visiting our service department right away so we can check for a leak. If your vehicle loses sufficient fluid, your brakes will fail to engage. Our technicians will find and repair the leak and then refill the fluid.
Brake problems will continue to worsen until they’re repaired. Contact our service department today at Murray CDJR of Starke in Starke, FL.
