Muscle cars don’t get any better than the 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. The world’s most powerful piece of muscle is available in two outstanding trim configurations. We bring you the lowdown on the R/T and Scat Pack to help you understand the difference between them.
1. R/T
The secret to the new Daytona’s powerful performance is its dual-motor propulsion system. With motors delivering power to both the front and rear wheels, the R/T and Scat Pack become the world’s only all-wheel-drive muscle car. Dodge’s entry-level Charger, the R/T, cranks out 496 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to shoot from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
Efficiency isn’t typically a word associated with muscle cars. However, the R/T is different, as this electrified vehicle has a 308-mile range. And, to overcome the silence of an electric propulsion system, Dodge equips the Daytona with its unique Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust that simulates the roars and purrs you’d expect from a supercharged V8.
Design Highlights
The R/T puts a modern twist on the classic Charger. Although it retains the wide body, sculpted hood, and sloped roofline, this trim’s steel gloss black roof, silver 18-inch wheels, automatic LED headlights, and daytime running lights bring the styling right up to date. Dodge also pays homage to Chargers of old by adorning the front and rear fascias with Fratzog badges.
Inside, heated performance seats are installed at the front, with the driver’s being adjustable in eight different ways and featuring a two-way power lumbar support. Everything is strategically placed for ease of use, including the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and the PowerShot launch control button. At the center of the dash is a 12.3-inch freestanding infotainment touchscreen with integrated navigation and wireless smartphone connectivity.
2. Scat Pack
To unleash the true abilities of the Daytona EV, you need to opt for the Scat Pack. Dodge’s top trim takes things to the next level, pushing the output to 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, and cutting the 0-60 time to a mere 3.3 seconds. Although this additional power saps the battery faster than in the R/T, you will still achieve a very respectable 241 miles on a single charge.
The Scat Pack also introduces high-performance Brembo brakes and additional drive modes to help you get the most out of the Charger, including Track, Drag, and Drift/Donut. Dodge also upgrades the interior with black leatherette and suede seating to complement the sportier performance.
The Daytona may be 100% electric, but it puts in a thrilling performance that leaves its rivals in the dust. Check out the R/T and the Scat Pack by visiting Murray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Starke in Starke, FL, today, and experience the Charger Daytona EV for yourself.
