2024 RAM 3500 Chassis Cab Configurations

RAM offers the 2024 RAM 3500 Chassis Cab in four trim levels and various configurations for all needs and budgets. The base Tradesman and SLT trims come standard in a regular cab style with an 84-inch cab-to-axle length. For shorter upfits or beds, the regular cab can be had in a 60-inch cab-to-axle length. Both trim levels are also offered in a crew cab variant.

The high-end LARAMIE and Limited trims are offered exclusively with a crew cab and a cab-to-axle length of 60 inches. With so many configuration options, you can easily find the right chassis length and cabin size for most purposes. Upfit options vary from standard or custom utility boxes and service bodies to bucket lifts and flatbeds.

Powertrains and Performance

No matter which cab and chassis length you prefer, the 3500 Chassis Cab delivers outstanding muscle for all tasks. In its standard configuration, this truck is offered with a 370-hp 6.4L HEMI V8 gas engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission to produce 429 lb-ft of torque. With these specs, it boasts a maximum GCWR of 22,000 lbs with a maximum payload of 7,390 lbs and a towing capacity of up to 16,090 lbs.

Optionally, the gas engine can be had with a 6-speed automatic transmission for a GCWR of 25,000 lbs, 18,950 lbs of maximum towing capacity, and up to 7,760 lbs of payload. If you need more power, a 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel engine boosts the GCWR to a maximum of 33,000 lbs, consequently boosting the towing capacity and payload to 25,890 lbs and 7,040 lbs, respectively, depending on the cab configuration and trim.

High-End Comfort and Convenience

The rugged utility of this truck pairs with a comfortable interior designed to enhance your driving experience. The base Tradesman trim comes standard with a heavy-duty vinyl 40/20/40 front bench. An adjustable driver seat offers ergonomic comfort, while individual bucket seats are available as an upgrade. In the crew cab configuration, the rear bench boasts a convenient fold-up design, allowing you to transform the rear space into a cargo area.

Infotainment and driver assistance technologies add further convenience, helping you stay connected on the go and boosting safety. Highlights include an intuitive center touchscreen with smartphone integration features, standard cruise control on all trim levels, and electronic stability control with trailer sway damping.
